On 23 July, Texmo Blank welcomed 50 pensioners of the Biberach District Fire Brigade to a company tour. A short presentation was followed by a guided factory visit. The participants learnt about the individual production steps and had the opportunity to admire the open casting of hot metal in the foundry. "This is always the most exciting part of the factory tour," explains Andreas Burgmaier, Head of Production at Texmo Blank Germany, "The hot metal is poured into the mould at around 1600°C." Automation in production was also of particular interest to the visitors. "We already use robots at various points in the production process, even in the casting process," says Burgmaier.
The tour ended with a short discussion, providing plenty of time to answer any remaining questions. "We hope that we were able to give the visitors a good insight into the processes of a foundry and would like to thank the pensioners for their interest."
